Datapower 2 is a powerful relational database system for RISC OS, with industry standard SQL support and a friendly "DTP-style" approach to laying things out. R-Comp have recently taken over the product, and development continues, with an Iyonix compatible version released as of May 2003. Datapower 2 is also compatible with RISC OS 3.1 to RISC OS 4, and a reader is available to access the data files under Windows.
Julian Fry is a long standing user of Datapower 2, and has written an extensive series of articles on using it, published in Archive Magazine. He'll be explaining what's special about Datapower 2, why it might be useful to you even if you wouldn't normally think of using a database (or if you prefer a different one!), demonstrating the software and answering questions.
As always, there should also be plenty of opportunity to talk about more general RISC OS topics, including the exciting developments seen by those of us who visited the Wakefield show.
