ROX desktop and Linux
Liam Proven Monday 21st August 2006, 7:45pm
Liam is a freelance journalist and author, covering many other operating systems as well as RISC OS, and a serious enthusiast of Linux and computers in general. He will be demonstrating and talking about the ROX desktop, which provides a RISC OS alike GUI when using Linux and Linux applications. He will also talk about recent Linux developments. ROX provides a whole host of RISC OS features for users of lesser operating systems, and is well worth a look. Liam is also keen to show that Linux has improved significantly since last an expert advertised it as a desktop operating system at ROUGOL. So he will be demonstrating what it can do. Liam previously wrote an article for The Inquirer about Stuart Tyrrell's visit to ROUGOL Screenshots and other information about the ROX desktop can be found in its getting started guide
