Andrew Hodgkinson Monday 19th November 2007, 7:45pm
Andrew worked at Acorn on the Browse web browser and other things, at Pace, Tematic and at Castle, and is currently a director of RISC OS Open Ltd. (ROOL) He will be talking through different web technologies and their historical development, and demonstrating where applicable the RISC OS web browsers that attempt to handle each. There will also be a brief demonstration of ANT Software Ltd's embedded Galio browser. Andrew will also be able to demonstrate the ROOL build environment for building the shared source code, so this will be a chance to see what's involved and ask any questions. He will also have ROOL CDs and mousemats/coasters for sale. This will be the first ever ROUGOL presentation to be delivered on an Apple computer, with the RISC OS portions being run using VirtualRiscPC for Mac. The talk is likely to be fairly technical but should be accessible to all.
