ProCAD+
Chris Bell Thursday 10th August 2000, 7:30pm
ProCAD+ is a RISC OS CAD (Computer Aided Design) package which is actively developed by David Snell. Chris Bell is a keen ProCAD+ user, making use of the package to design machine-tooled components for bicycles (as I understand it!) However, the software can be used for a wide range of things, from laying out your new kitchen upwards. There will be printouts and other bits and pieces for everyone to look at (and, as usual, the latest issue of Archive to look at, plus free RISC OS 4 posters to take away). There may also be some discussion of RiscCAD, an alternative to ProCAD+, as we believe at least a few ROUGOL members are keen users of this package. Whilst we're hoping to have a StrongARM RISC OS 4 Risc PC, video projector and other props for the demonstration, this meeting will not solely focus on the presentation; there should be plenty of time for more general RISC OS discussion both before and after (and during, if Chris feels like a break or a digression!). A report on this meeting can be found here.
