AMCOG Development Kit
Anthony Bartram, AMCOG Games
Monday 17th July 2017, 7:45pm
The AMCOG Development kit makes game writing
on RISC OS simpler than ever before. The kit includes:
- A core library to enable sprite plotting, screen transitions, MP3 playback and much more
- A tile library to provide a general game engine for games based on tiles
- A sound library and virtual sound chip: RDSP
- Game sprites
- Music tracks
- Sound samples
Free graphics, music tracks and sound samples are included, plus three games developed using the kit:
- Mutant Penguin
- Cyborg
- Sparky - a simpler playable tile library case study
Sparky is only available with the Development Kit and is presented both as a playable game
and development case study. Anthony will walk us through the Sparky example to show how
easily a game can be put together using the kit.
If time allows, Anthony will also explain more about RDSP,
the sound synthesis system he previewed at ROUGOL last November, and show
the gameplay of Cyborg and Mutant Penguin. The kit and the games will all be available to buy on the night if
you feel inspired!
